Why Is Acrylic Elastomeric Paint Synonymous With Metal Roofing

As reputable Littleton, CO roofers, we take immense pride in delivering exceptional metal roofing services for our clients. Furthermore, we frequently refer them to the best acrylic elastomeric paint brands after we’ve accomplished a full installation of their roof. The reason is simple: acrylic elastomeric coating prolongs the lifespan and dependability of roofing materials.

Steel is strong. However, it is exceedingly susceptible to rusting and corrosion. Galvanized and galvalume steel uses layers of zinc or aluminum to prolong the steel core’s lifespan. However, both aluminum and zinc have excellent resistance, but no immunity, against rusting and corrosion.

On the other hand, an acrylic elastomeric coating is a material designed specifically to provide metal with a non-metal layer that is highly resistant to rusting. Acrylic elastomeric is a composite plastic and rubber coating that creates an air and watertight seal across the seams of metal roofs. Furthermore, they can reflect UV rays, which help prolong the lifespan of metal roofing.

One of the greatest acrylic elastomeric advantages metal roof homes enjoy is the ability to coat an entire roofing system without having to spend a fortune. Acrylic elastomeric is considerably affordable and widely available from many hardware and roofing material suppliers nationwide.

Lastly, homeowners have the advantage of selecting the best acrylic elastomeric color coating for their metal roofs. They gain the following advantages: consistent aesthetic theme, exceptional curb appeal, and sturdy, long-lasting roofing material.

National Coatings has a great guide on how to apply acrylic elastomeric paint well. However, you can always count on dependable roofers, such as Roper Roofing, to help you with Littleton, CO acrylic elastomeric roofing applications. Contact us today!
